THE CHAIRMAN OF KBC WELCOMED THE DELEGATION OF PRESIDENTS THE CONFEDERATION OF ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (CACCI) AT KBC'S HEADQUARTER, QUE VO INDUSTRIAL PARK, BAC NINH PROVINCE.

On the morning of May 23, 2023, at the KBC headquarter (Que Vo Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province), the chairman of KBC and the KBC’s Board of Directors welcomed and met up with the Delegation of Presidents of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) led by Mr. Peter McMullin, the President of CACCI, in the CACCI’s working program in Vietnam from May 21 to May 25, 2023.

CACCI was established in 1966 as a confederation of regional chambers of Commerce, to strengthen economic ties and closer cooperation among Asian countries, to promote economic development in the region, improving people’s living standard, bringing happiness for society and the prosperity of the region. Currently, CACCI members have 28 chambers of commerce and industry from 26 independent economies, including the confederation of Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). In addition, CACCI has consultative status with United Nation, and is the member of non-government organization Conference under the auspices of United Nation. Every year, CACCI organizes visits for President of CACCI (rotating among economies) to member countries to learn about market, meet local enterprises and government agencies to promote trade and investment cooperation between CACCI members.

Chairman Dang Thanh Tam sincerely sent his thanks for the attention and appreciated CACCI’s visit to KBC this time. As an active and dynamic member of VCCI, the Chairman of KBC affirmed that the cooperation between VCCI and the Federation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) would open up the opportunity for strength and global integration across the region.

On behalf of delegation, CACCI’s President, Mr. Peter McMullin AM thanked for the respectful and warm welcome of Mr. Dang thanh Tam and KBC. The visit to KBC today has created opportunities for CACCI’ members to learn about investment policies of Vietnam Government; industry fields which foreign investors are being encouraged, to study possible areas for economic and investment cooperation; business joint ventures, other form of business cooperation between Vietnam and CACCI’ members, therefore, discuss many other related issues.

The member of CACCI delegation such as Confederation of Commerce and Industry from Korean, Taiwan, Pakistan, Iran, Hongkong etc and the KBC’s Chairman discussed the prospects of cooperation in the fields of production, pharmaceuticals, information and communication technology (ICT), education, ect. The parties discussed together about related issues such as: the investment status of KBC’ industrial parks and its typical investors; strengths and experiences of KBC in building IP models across Vietnam; sharing and discussing issues related to management and training for labors in KBC’ IPs, etc. KBC’s Chairman also answered members of delegation’ questions about the number of matters of interest such as: requirements for pharmaceutical enterprises desiring to invest in Vietnam; legal issues raising for foreign pharmaceutical businesses investing in Vietnam; pharmaceutical park model at KBC’ IPs in the future. Regarding Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Chairman Dang Thanh Tam hopes that KBC will build Centers for high technology research and development, Centers for research and renovation in the future.
