On December 11, 2023 morning, at the National Innovation Center (NIC), Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi), a welcoming ceremony took place to welcome Mr. Jensen Huang, Chairman cum General Director of the NVIDIA Corporation (USA) - The most prestige chip manufacturing corporation in the world with a market value of nearly 1,200 billion USD. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - General Director of KBC was honored to join the Vietnamese delegation to welcome and work with NVIDIA Corporation within the framework of the visit and work in Vietnam.

To welcome leaders of NVIDIA Corporation (USA), Vietnam was presented by leaders of the Ministries: Planning and Investment, Information and Communications, and Foreign Affairs; Leaders of People's Committees and Management Boards of High-Tech Parks in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City; Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco; Leaders of large Vietnamese corporations. NVIDIA Corporation was presented by President cum General Director Jensen Huang and senior leaders.

The seminar titled "Development trends in the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and opportunities for Vietnam" was organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and NVIDIA Corporation (USA). The discussion was co-chaired by Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and President cum General Director of NVIDIA Corporation, Mr. Jensen Huang. The content of the work between the two partners were about the cooperation activities between NVIDIA and Vietnam to promote the semiconductor industry and NVIDIA's ability to cooperate with Vietnamese companies and corporations.

NVIDIA is a multinational technology corporation that designs graphics processing units (GPUs), application programming interfaces (APIs) for data science and high-performance computing, and systems on unit of chip (SoC) for the mobile and automotive computing markets. Up to now, NVIDIA has more than 27 thousand employees globally, with revenue reaching nearly 27 billion USD. With the global AI fever, NVIDIA is increasing its AI chip production plan for 2024 by more than 3 times and the Corporation's revenue is expected to increase greatly in the near future.

At the seminar, Mr. Jensen Huang highly appreciated Vietnam's great potential and opportunities in the semiconductor and AI industries, especially Vietnam's human resources in this field.

Mr. Jensen Huang stated: "AI is a recently appeared wave that can be said to be the biggest ever. Vietnam has prepared well and this is your opportunity. This is also a great time for the two partners to establish strategic relationships, AI and chips are the two industries play vital role in the prosperous development of countries. We will further expand our existing partnership with Vietnam, committing to turning Vietnam into NVIDIA's second home and establishing a legal entity in Vietnam."

Also, according to Mr. Jensen Huang, Vietnam has good education and infrastructure and it just needs to encourage new generations to enter the world of AI, and encourage Vietnamese experts and engineers abroad to return home. "The problem now is to improve skills and build 1 million AI experts. This will be the largest and most powerful team in the world. We are ready to cooperate with Vietnam to improve AI skills and infrastructure ", he said.

Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam Nguyen Chi Dung requested NVIDIA to promote research and implementation of investment projects on semiconductors and AI in Vietnam; to cooperate, invest, build R&D centers, laboratories for designing and developing NVIDIA's semiconductor chip products at NIC and high-tech parks, at the same time, to cooperate, advise and support NIC in training human resources and experts to develop training and practice programs in the field of semiconductors and AI; to create conditions for Vietnamese engineers and students to participate in internships and work at NVIDIA; to accompanying Vietnam in building a business incubator for the semiconductor industry, as well as consulting for Vietnam to form businesses that support the provision of products and services...
