On August 7 afternoon, Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation coordinated with People's Committee of Bac Ninh City to organize the groundbreaking of Phase 1 of the Phuc Ninh New Urban Area’s detention basin project. This is an event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Bac Ninh city (8/8/1954 - 8/8/2024).

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Comrade Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, Delegation of the Provincial National Assembly; leaders of departments, divisions and branches of Bac Ninh province and city, leaders of Vu Ninh, Dai Phuc, Thi Cau wards. Phuc Ninh New Urban Area is located in Dai Phuc, Vu Ninh and Thi Cau wards - Bac Ninh City - Bac Ninh Province, which is 300m from Bac Ninh City Center and directly adjacent to National Highway 18 and National Highway 1A. The total area of Phuc Ninh New Urban Area is 114,554 hectares.

The Phuc Ninh New Urban Area project is invested by Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC), which was created on the basis of development orientation to build Bac Ninh city into an important satellite city of Hanoi Capital, meeting the economic development goals of the Northern key economic region while ensuring the sustainable development of the Capital in the future.

Phuc Ninh New Urban Area is located at the gateway connecting to the administrative center of Bac Ninh city. The project is planned synchronously and methodically by reputable consulting units of Singapore and Vietnam with the desire to create a modern, high-quality new urban area model in terms of planning architecture, environment, infrastructure and high economic efficiency in accordance with existing conditions.

The detention basin project phase 1 of Phuc Ninh New Urban Area has an area of about 4.7 hectares, which is located in the overall planning of detention basin project of Phuc Ninh New Urban Area with a scale of 13.78 hectares.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – General Director of KBC, representative of the investor shared: Over the years, the Corporation has brought many world-class investors to Bac Ninh. During the construction process, the Corporation will continue to build urban areas, including housing areas for experts, etc. In the near future, hotels, schools, social housing, housing for workers and low-income people will be built to consolidate the parallel development of industry and services and to meet the needs of society and the demand for strong economic development of Bac Ninh province.

Chairman of Bac Ninh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hieu praised the efforts of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation, local authorities and households under land acquisition for the project have coordinated and handed over the site to implement the project according to schedule.

The Phuc Ninh detention basil project after being completed is promised to play an important role in the green urban development strategy of Bac Ninh city. This is not only a reservoir to store water, prevent flooding whenever having long-time heavy rain, but also contribute to creating a community landscape, towards building a dynamic, developed and livable Bac Ninh city in the future.
